Gin’s Tavern has been a well-known establishment in Factoryville for decades. Unfortunately, the place experienced a massive fire in May of 2023 and was closed for a while. After a substantial remodel, Gin’s is back in action and slinging wings for all to enjoy. We made our visit in April 2025, which is just months after the reopened. The place has definitely been modernized with the remodel, with a large bar, plenty of indoor seating, and a great outdoor area that will be a chill place to hang in the summer. I haven’t frequented Gin’s in the past, so when we pulled up, I wasn’t sure we were at the right place as there was no signage out front. Once you walk in though, the Gin’s sign is on full display at what felt like a hotel welcome desk. Once you enter the restaurant area though, you definitely get that restaurant/bar vibe. Honestly, the remodeled structure gives a high-quality brewery vibe to it. Once we sat, the waitress was quick to greet us and take our order. Plus, the wings came out pretty fast as well. All positives in my book.

Typically $13 for 10 wings, Gin’s offers a Wednesday Yuengs and Wings night, which includes wings at $9 for 10 and a draft special on Yuenglings. The wings are a decent size for the price. They aren’t overly big, but they certainly get the job done. You should be fine taking down your usual order. Our wings were not very crispy, but we didn’t ask for any special preparation. You may have luck with asking for extra crispy wings, so give it a try. I don’t believe they allow splitting of orders, so coordinate with a friend if you want to try more variety.

Gin’s offers a good variety of flavors, including classics for those who want to stick to tradition as well as some more interesting options for anyone feeling a little frisky. Gin’s lists their flavors on a heat scale, which is a nice touch and will help people pick more unique flavors without being concerned with the spice. They also offer weekly specials on their wing night, so be sure to check with your waitress or check Facebook to see what option is available on your visit. For example, on our visit, they offered a Chipotle Lime BBQ.

My focus for this visit was on the traditional Hot and the Cajun Ranch. Their regular Hot sauce has a great orange color that I tend to gravitate towards in a buffalo sauce. They had a good cayenne pepper kick with a solid hit of vinegar. The spice was just right for a tasty Hot sauce. The Cajun Ranch was a thick, creamy, white sauce with a hint of orange. It was definitely a milder sauce that had plenty of flavor and was well-balanced. Personally, I would love to try an amped-up version to really draw out that Cajun spice, but these were still plenty delicious.

We made our way to a place that has 100% risen from the ashes, and that place is Gin’s Tavern. Now, I imagine most of you are aware that in 2023, Gin’s Tavern had a fire that brought it down. That was very unfortunate, but a fire wasn’t going to keep Gin’s down for long.

In less than two years, Gin’s Tavern is up and running, and let me tell you, the symmetry of upgrading certain aspects of the place while also staying true to the original philosophy was lovely to see and experience.

When you drive up, you’d think you’re entering a massive compound. The place is enormous. There’s seating in several different places. I think there are at least two outside eating areas, the bar area, and a few other dining room areas. I didn’t Indian Jones this and go exploring but it felt like there were so many extra rooms. So, whatever dining experience you’re looking for, Gin’s got you.

Upon entering the establishment, you’ll see a front desk. It was funny because I felt like I was going to a hotel. I don’t recall if that was there years ago or not. I liked it.

The service was on point, and everyone in the place was in a good mood.

If you’re looking to watch a sporting event, there are TVs all over the place, so you’re good there.

It’s definitely the kind of place where if you have a large amount with you, you can do well there.

For their wing night, which is on Wednesdays, it’s 9$ for 10. In today’s world, that’s really good. And the wings aren’t little ones either. They’re bigger than average, so I suggest you get you’re standard amount.

    Wing Flavors: 8

I’m giving them an 8 for this. They have 13 flavors, and they also do a wing flavor of the week, which, if my math is correct that comes to 14 flavors.

But I like the variance of the flavors. They don’t have a few of the traditional ones, such as BBQ and honey mustard, and I respect that. Nothing against those flavors, but I think at this point, BBQ and honey mustard are getting lost in the sauce(you like that?) due to so many places experimenting with other potentially “trendier” sauces. This seems like an article idea I may research.

Lynch got two flavors, and I got two flavors.

First, I had the bang bang. These wings were very flavorful. They had a wonderful reddish sheen to them that was very appetizing. I thought, because they were called bang bang, that they would have more kick to them and have more of a Cactus Jack homage(if you know you as the kids say) to them, but they were lighter, slightly more creamier to them. I wouldn’t say they were exactly hot ranch, but it was a really soothing flavor. I highly recommend them.

Next were the flavor of the week of which were the chipotle lime BBQ. First off, I’m a sucker for any flavor of the week. I get it often when it’s offered. Secondly, these were excellent. All elements were accounted for and present. The spice from the chipotle was enhanced by the sweetness of the BBQ and the third man(another deep wrestling cut), the lime brought it all together. There was a very good balance throughout each bite.
