I have been to Morganz three times, and I have yet to sit inside. Whenever given the opportunity, I will always sit outside. The outside seating area is pretty cool as it has a part that is permanently covered by a tent, and another part that’s out in the open. I was thankful they had covered outdoor seating this visit because there was a massive downpour while we were there. That may deter some people, but I can enjoy a great lightning storm just as much as a sunny day. The back patio has plenty of seats for chilling, as well as a bar area and a section dedicated to a grill on those days they make hot dogs and hamburgers outside. They also have TVs in the outside tent area. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. She was pretty fast with our food and drinks and allowed us to split the check. Overall, a pretty great experience.

It’s strange, but they don’t list the flavors on the menu, so you have to see what they have on the whiteboard at the entrance of the restaurant. I can’t guarantee the flavors I have listed will be there when you go, but it seemed to be the same flavors that were there last time.
I ordered Bourbon Molasses, Hot Garlic, and Hot. The Hot were decent enough. They did not blow me away. They are on the same level as other Hots that you’ve had at other places. The Hot Garlic were a step up from the Hot. I’ve noticed that is mainly across the board at all places. I’m a huge fan of garlic, and that extra flavor is nice in my book. The Bourbon Molasses pleasantly surprised me. I was expecting a BBQ type sauce, but I would describe this more as a Sweet and Tangy sauce with a bit of smokiness and a even smaller bit of BBQ. It’s a thicker, brown sauce that is very enjoyable. I also tried the Spicy Chile, which were just awesome. It’s very much like a General Tso sauce. It was very thick and had a great spice to it with the addition of the chili peppers. I highly recommend this wing.
One of the best parts about Morganz is that they have an outside back area equipped with bar and tables. Eating outside is always fun to do and they do good with that. On this particular day, an absolute monsoon ascended on Scranton and pulverized the area. Fortunately, Morganz has a heavy duty tent that those goes around the back area. Our server was on point the time we were there, which is all I ever ask for.
They aren’t tremendously big at Morganz and for 45 cents a wing, which I realize is becoming the norm around here, you may feel hungry after your meal. Just make sure you order enough.
Some interesting flavors can be had at Morganz. They have hot, sweet and spicy honey mustard, hot garlic bourbon molasses, spicy chili and Morganz itself.
I ordered hot, Morganz, spicy chili and honey mustard. They were somewhat spicy and they had good flavor to them. They certainly were not dull. The honey mustard were typical honey mustard that you get pretty much any where. The spicy chili were exactly that. Excellent flavor and they were hot, which is tough to get any more unless you order some kind of extreme hot wing. Now the Morganz wings are interesting. They are a bit of a mystery. I think they are a cross of their hot with some of their bourbon molasses mixed in. You may feel different and if you so let us know.
